Composition

O God Whom Saints sheet music

Musical Works

Choir, piano solo, piano + voice, organ, solo violin, brass quartet

Those first compositions in my teens - Cathedral Choral Music was in my blood, and the poetry of 1st World War English poet, Wilfred Owens, deeply resonated with me. Several poems set to music.

Full-time Church Music Ministry and a thriving family life provided precious little time for this activity, though frequently returned to if a commission arrived, or a need arose for a piece for St. Michael’s, or a musical idea came that demanded attention.

As a result:

Most recent composition:

Since the 1980's, multiple commissions from various churches and organizations. Mainly writing for the church, the majority of my pieces are for choir alone, or choir plus organ. I have also written for piano solo, piano + voice, organ, solo violin, brass quartet, orchestra.

It is my plan in retirement to significantly increase the time I devote to composition. Please contact me if you are interested in commissioning a piece for a special event or occasion.
